Sir,
I purchased an intergrated kitchen which was delivered from B and Q in April this year.
It was installed by a family member.Last week I opened the fridge door, only for a shelf and it's contents to come out and land on my foot.
My problem is this, all three shelves are glass with plastic surrounds to allow them to be supported in the fridge, all three plastic supports are cracked and broken,I now have only one shelf left that also has it's plastic support broken.
The supplier of the fridge flat refuse to replace the plastic supports, stating its not a "working part of the fridge" and now stating that I would have to buy the three whole new shelf units which are of the same design and will be at risk of breaking too (I don't fancy this happening again and involving a small child), as the fridge model has been discontinued too,no repair parts,so if it breaks down I have no fridge.
I am very much getting a "not our problem "attitude when I try to reason withte supplier.
Any advice please re my legal standing would be appreciated
Regards,
David Carey
