I have recently settled a PI claim on 29 July '11. The court order states that the other side had 14 days to send the full payment ( my settlement and costs), the 14 days had came and went and no payment received. My Solicitor contacted the otherside who used the excuse that there had been a personnel shuffle and the cheque had therefore not been requested. He was told that one would be requested immediately but this would take another 7/10 days, but still no payment has arised. What is the next stepshould this payment not arrive and the company is inbreach o a court order. My solicitor doesnt seem bothered, however this has left me in a mess as I have had to have an operation this week to correct the damage I sustained in the accident which has left me unable to work for a minimum of 6 weeks and therefore no money coming in except SSP which in way will cover all my outgoings.
