    Walking into a vehicle

I was turning into a company car park and a person stepped out in front of the car park barrier and hit their leg against the side of the car and then walked off. A week later they complained to the company that they had suffered some minor brusing to the leg. Who is liable as they requested a copy of my insurance details.

    Hello Steve174,

Thanks for your post. In cases like this, the pedestrian tends to have a strong claim against the driver, unless the driver can prove that the pedestrian did not look before walking into the car. Of course, both the pedestrian and driver would need witnesses or other evidence to back up their claims.

    Good luck,
