solicitor charged me for nothing
I have to get some urgent advice
3 years ago i had a hipp done by a company,they came they did there job and left. we paid 300 plus pounds for this.
We then changed estate agents they said we get a free hip.We told them we already had one.
A week later a man comes round a to do a hip.we say we already have one.He left and said i don.t need to be here.
3 months or so later we change estate agents.

1 week later we get a bill from chattertons solicitors and a bill for 420 pounds,we say your man came and left because we already had one.
The agent had in the small print that a hip would be chargeable if we stopped using this agent before selling.
We refused to pay,they said you will pay no matter what.
They obtained a ccj against us
I sent them an email and said this extortion they said they were correct.
We had to agree to pay 25 per month,the bill was now 600 pounds.
we missed a paymeny a nd today we had bailiffs round with a bill for 1825 pounds,pay up or we take all your property.we do not have the money.I now have to find a minimum of 500 pounds by 10 am tomorrow or they will come back and the bill will be 2300 pounds.
I have copies of my first hip which says you shoiuld not need another one if your house is constantly on the market .
My question realy is can i not do anything to take them to court for obtaing a ccj and instructing bailiffs when there was no true debt in the first place.
Please help as my partner and 2 young boys are in feer of losing everything.
