Can a second charge mortgage be done in joint names if the first charge is only in one name?

Thanks for your post. Do you want to add another name just to the mortgage or to the deed too? To apply for a second charge mortgage with another person shouldn't be a problem. Just speak to your loan supplier.

If you want to add a name to the deeds too, you'll have to contact the Land Registry.
