    shop lifting

    i am a Belarussion citizen and i've been to London in summer on a student visa and was charged for shoplifting.now i am in my homeland and my visa is valid until the 20th of December and i'd like to retern to london for a week in december. i paid the fine of 80 pound and wasn't taken to the police station. it was the first and the last time in my life!! i was wondering will i have problems on immigration at the airport, and am I in the sistem? i can't get it out of my head and i'm constantly thinking about it. i'm soooo sorry(( thanks for help

    Hi hannaK,

    Thanks for posting. It sounds as though you were given a fixed-penalty notice which does not amount to a criminal conviction since you paid the charge on time.

    There is unlikely to be any record of this when you enter the country. But do make sure that your student visa allows for multiple entries to the UK.
