Colleagues are reading emails I sent to my boss as they have access to his account

My bosses email account is accessible to my colleagues.

Today I sent an email complaining about a colleague. This colleague then sent me an email saying that he welcomes suggestions for improval but I should copy all relevent people in.

To say I'm furious is putting it mildly! It is an obvious reply to my complaint.

I must explain that I work in a UK sales office for a German company. Only 2 of us in this office, bosses and colleagues are all based in Germany.

Where do I stand on right to privacy and / or data protection?
This can't be right, proper or legal procedure?

Dear Sabine, I am ever so sorry to hear about your predicament. However, thankfully the law is clear on the subject. Unless your boss gave them permission to access the account then they are in breach of privacy and also they have breached the implied duty of mutual trust and confidence between an employer and its employees and they could be dismissed. I would bring the matter to the attention of your boss as you do not want to participate to this unreasonable behavior of your colleagues.

    Regards,
