I have worked part time for a company for six years and I am paid a set rate of hourly pay for my contractual days.
Throughout these six years I have worked, on average, two days each week on a casual basis, doing the same job.
My casual days are paid at the same rate as my contractual days and always have been. I do not receive any extra holidays or sick pay for work on these days.
I recently found out that another employee doing the same job, receives an extra amount (about £5 per hour) in lieu of holiday pay entitlement, for the days they do casual work.
Is there such a thing as holiday pay entitlement? If there is, can I claim back pay?
