hello
i work as a carer in very demanding care home.for last week (since wednesday) i hv pain 'traveling' from one to another part of my body, ive seen doctor, i have been to the hospital- meds, painkilers etc- i have trapped nerv. my partner works in the same place but nights. on saturday evening he asked nurses do they want me to come but i cant do any heavy lifting. they said that i can come. i did. i was working sun and mon. on monday ive been told by nurse that i hv to bring note from gp that i cant do heavy lifting. with that note they can put me to the lounge with residents or 'shadowing' ( we have two resident 1to1- no lifting involved). on tues i went again to see my gp- more prescription and test (blood). i did get a letter ( no lifting for 2 weeks) and i took it straight to work. the same day (yesterday) i recieved call from a nurse that they dont want me in next day- they have to contact the boss and decide what to do with me. i didnt get any call today. i want to go to work, im not feeling that poorly, i can go to work, just i cant do lifting, and there are places where they can put me. my question is- if they will tell me to not to come to work should they pay me?
thank you
