Two colleague have been served with charges of failing to get authorization for claiming overtime payment by the manager that negligently denied them of a meal break they claim that the authorisation came from a Mandatory Instruction which reads;
MI2009MGS-R1-015; -
“In most cases it therefore has to be accepted that MGS officers working on single manned sites will not be able to take a break during the normal working day and if this is the case they are entitled to claim overtime”.
No reasons have been given by the Manager as to why these employees were not given a meal break entitlement.
Your thoughts please.
