    Question Opening private emails

If we are allowed to use works computers and emails for personal communications (subject to the criteria detailed in staff contracts), can my employers open or use personal emails (on the works systems) to support any disciplinary purposes? Thanks

    Hello,

The simple answer to this is yes.

Technically all emails that are sent through a work email, server etc are property of the business as they have the legal responsability for them.

I used to work for Federation Against Software Theft and this was an FAQ.

    Regards,
