I am the resident parent (PWC) for my 2 children. Their father, who has never provided any financial support since the divorce, has been going through the same cycle of access for years. First he wants to see them and contact is good, then come the lies that he's either ill or working (even though he has been seen healthy and otherwise engaged) then contact drops off entirely. Many months can go by and then he gets back in touch trying to start it all over again.
My children are repeatedly hurt and upset by his actions, or lack thereof. I can no longer stand to see my children treated this way. It has been suggested to me to go for sole custody and have his parental rights removed from him.
Under Scottish Law, is this a viable option for me? And how would I go about it?
