My wifes father,who has dimensia,is in a care home.

Her mother,his wife,has refused my wife to take him out of the home for a regular 4 hour 'outing'.Sundays.

There has been acrimony in the family & the reason given is 'she is his next of kin and what she says goes' from the care home.

We only want to give him a little freedom as he is in there 24/7.No-one else takes him out.

Is the next of kin issue correct & if not what can we do.

We don't want to go to court.Time/money etc.
