    HELP! I have a question about coming into the uk

    HI,
    So my question is If a Felon from the US be able to travel to the UK. This person as a US Passport. Ive heard story's that they will turn you away when you get there. what are the laws with this and if they need permission how do they get this?

    Thanks for posting. It depends how long the person wants to stay in the UK. If it's just a short visit, say for tourism, a US citizen does not need to apply for a visa and therefore will unlikely be asked any questions about their criminal record.

    If the person wishes to stay longer they must apply for a visa. On the visa application, they must explain what their crime was. A visa will not necessarily be denied if someone has a criminal record, but they must divulge details of their criminal record.

    The best course of action would be to contact your nearest British Embassy for further information. Find an Embassy
