Exclamation Tier 2 (Inter Company Transfer)

    Hello everyone,

I am currently in UK on Tier-2 (Inter Company transfer) work permit with live Certificate of sponsorship for 6 months. However I would like to change the job but I think that I cannot work with any other company in UK as my Certificate of sponsorship is granted by current company.

Could you please help me with what things I should take care if I need to change the job?
    1. If I am able to find another job, will I have to reapply for visa or just getting a Certificate of sponsorship from prospective employer will do?
    2. If I have to reapply for visa, can I reapply it from UK?
    3. What is the maximum duration of Tier 2 visa with valid Certificate of sponsorship can be granted?

    -Thanks a lot!!!

    Hi BackBencher,

Thanks for posting, it is possible to change your job while on the Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer visa. You will need to make a 'change of employment' application if you want to start a new job with a different employer.

Please read the section titled 'Changing your job' at the bottom of this page on the UK Border Agency's site.

    Good luck,

    Hi Maya,

    Thanks for your reply..

Could you please help me with the below queries please?

    1. What is the minimum salary paid to candidate under Tier 2 ICT
(say from India) for jobs which are under skill shortage list e.g.
    part qualified actuaries/accountant etc?

    2. Is it possible for employer to pay me some amount of my salary
in Indian rupee and pay rest as allowances and per diem in GBP?

    3. What is the maximum % of salary that can be paid as allowances
    and other expenses?

    4. Can employer decide how to spend the allowance payable to
employee? E.g. Based on my salary employer computes maximum
allowance that can be paid, however instead of paying it directly
to me they make arrangements for accommodation and travel. However
I would like to stay in apartment of my relatives in UK in which
case I would make a loss of allowances.

Tier 2 ICT in detail - a Freedom of Information request to UK Border Agency - WhatDoTheyKnow

    Regards,
