Is there any way you can prove if they were providing the service? I imagine if it came to a court case, that's what it would come down to.
An internet advertising company i was using stopped billing me 7 months ago for google pay per click advertising. I assumed they had stopped the service as they were not charging me any longer (by debiting by credit card which they had been doing for over a year) and my website traffic had reduced.
They have never sent an invoice, reminder, email or telephoned me on my mobile or at the shop to ask about or chase payment although when i called them to start a new advertising campaign they all of a sudden sent me a bundle of invoices for the previous months and they claim they have been trying to contact me and have left messages for me but i have refused payment - i have never refused payment as they didnt request it!!
They claim they were carrying out the advertising and are demanding payment immediately for £1800.
I dont think they have been and as they have lied about contacting me and sending and emailing me invoices i dont trust them.
Am i liable to pay them?
Your advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks
