Hello im in need of a legal advice. My laptop screen got damaged i took it to shop to get it fixed but it camed back with damaged plastic casing and poor quality screen ( not the original model just bad replacement one ) when i specifically asked to use original hp parts. Shop owner denied any responsibility and refused to give me a refund or replacement is there any hope going to court.

You have "Statutory Rights". Sale of goods Act / Supply of goods and services Act. If you are unhappy with the quality of parts or level of workmanship you are legally entitled to "Reject" the goods / service. If the retailer / service provider is refusing to allow you to reject their work you can apply to The County Court for an Injunction (a type of Court Order). The injunction would "force" the retailer to abide by the law. If The retailer continues to give you your money back and / or cover the costs of another specialist to carryout the work you wanted him to do The Court would (upon application) Order him to pay you damages, I.e. The costs of putting right his mistakes (putting in a cheaper screen / breaking the frame). If you signed a contract that allows him to "get away with not refunding his poor work" the contract could be unenforceable ( The Unfair terms in consumer contracts reg's 1999 and EU Directive EEC/93/13 )
