Hi there, i recently went to supper at a restaurant with my 17 year old son. He ordered a pint of cider. He was then asked for ID, at which point we asked why seeing as it is the uk law that he could have one drink with a meal. We were then informed that it was company policy not to serve under 18's alcohol whether they are eating or not. Are companies allowed to have policies different to the Law? also this was not published anywhere on menus or signs or anything. Surely they have to display it to customers in an easily visible place?
